Hilton Anatole Hotel Offers Special “Van Gogh’s Sheaves of Wheat” Exhibit
Package
This fall the Dallas Museum of Art (www.DallasMuseumofArt.org
) presents Van Gogh's Sheaves of Wheat, an in-depth study of a theme that both
delighted and obsessed this great artist and influenced countless contemporaries
and future artists. In celebration of this exhibit and its ongoing support of
the arts, the Hilton Anatole is offering a special Van Gogh’s Sheaves of Wheat
Exhibit Package starting as low as $159 which includes a deluxe guestroom, two
tickets to the exhibit and more.
Organized by the Dallas Museum of Art and featuring Vincent
van Gogh’s masterwork Sheaves of Wheat (1890) from the Museum’s own collection,
as well as
works by the artist from all over the world, this exhibition explores
the artist’s fascination with the motif in his paintings, drawings, and personal
letters. The exhibition, which runs October 22, 2006 to January 7, 2007,
contains the largest collection of Van Gogh works displayed in the Southwest in
40 years.
Not only does the Hilton Anatole’s Van Gogh’s Sheaves of
Wheat Exhibit Package allow you to enjoy this world-class exhibit, it also gives
you the opportunity for additional art exploration with a tour of the hotel’s
own
Art Collection. The free, self-guided audio tour features selected pieces
from one of the largest and most intriguing private art assemblies in the world,
including works by Pablo Picasso, J. Seward Johnson Jr. and Josiah Wedgwood,
many of which once graced the royal palaces of kings, emperors and czars from
Japan, China, India, Southeast Asia and Europe. After the tour, use the
discounts and coupons provided in the package to experience additional Dallas
art venues like the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Crow Collection of Asian Art
and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
