Kapalua Bay Hotel Wedding Packages

From Classically Simple to Extravagantly Sublime

Kapalua Bay Hotel & Ocean Villas,  an award-winning luxury resort situated on 18 beachfront acres in Maui’s Kapalua resort community, has announced a variety of new wedding packages and amenities for couples who want to renew vows or tie the knot in paradise.  The hotel’s new Wedding Manager Fran Roloson, who joined the staff in June, has designed a selection of romantic amenities, services and wedding packages ranging from $2,500 for a simple ceremony on the beach to $25,000 for the ultimate in wedding luxury.

Boasting the most beautiful oceanfront setting imaginable, the Kapalua Bay Hotel & Ocean Villas exudes romance. Perched above Maui’s famed Kapalua Bay, the elegant resort  is known for its luxurious facilities, gracious Hawaiian hospitality and spectacular ocean views.     Offering 191 rooms, five suites, and 14 private ocean villas, the property has the intimate, serene ambiance of a small boutique hotel, yet features the services and amenities of a large world-class resort.  Hotel guests can enjoy three top-ranked championship golf courses, two acclaimed tennis complexes, three restaurants, two oceanview lounges, 24-hour room service, two oceanview pools, a 24-hour fitness room, a boutique shopping complex, and a full range of beach services on “America’s Best Beach”, Kapalua Bay.

One of the most dramatic wedding sites in the world can be found at the Kapalua Bay Hotel: the Point, a grass-covered lava peninsula fronting the hotel, is surrounded by the sea on three sides, offering breathtaking year-round sunsets and panoramic views of the Maui coastline and neighboring islands of Molokai and Lanai. Hundreds of weddings have been performed at the Point over the years. In addition, a variety of other beautiful indoor and outdoor sites are also available on the property--from manicured lawns and intimate courtyards to a grand ballroom--for wedding ceremonies, vow renewals and receptions. These special events are personally handled by Roloson, who works closely with each couple to fulfill their every desire--from menu selection, photography and wedding favors to hula dancers and flower leis.

The hotel offers a number of romantic options for couples to consider, from classic to exotic: white columns, a harpist and ice sculptures; hand-painted, personalized keepsake toasting flutes;  a conch shell “herald” to mark the ceremony; or the lighting of a “unity tiki”-- a trio of tiki torches instead of candles. Ceremonies can include a symbolic release of white doves or monarch butterflies, and guests can shower the couple with fragrant rose petals. In the privacy of their room, couples can experience the resort’s popular “Bed of Roses” amenity:  delicate rose petals strewn across their bed, with a long-stemmed rose placed on each pillow. Couples can enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride through scenic Kapalua with a romantic picnic for two, or a privately catered six-course gourmet dinner for two under the stars. The resort also offers the services of a local artist who will capture the bride and groom’s brilliant wedding-day sunset in an original oil painting.

Couples can work with Roloson to create a custom ceremony or choose from any of the hotel’s five creative new packages for 2003/2004, ranging from the $2,500 Ehu Kai (“sea spray”) wedding package featuring a ceremony on the beach, to the ultra-luxurious $25,000 Ke Ali’i (“royal”) package, designed to make even the most discriminating bride and groom feel like royalty. The Ke Ali’i package features a long list of top-of-the-line amenities and services, including: five nights in an oceanview suite; limousine airport transfers; a “Pampered Bride” salon/spa beauty package for six ladies including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures; a “Groom’s Golf Outing” with a round of golf  for up to six players;  the bride’s arrival by horse and carriage to the ceremony; a forty-dove release; a champagne toast including a bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal Brut for the bride and groom; “Bed of Roses” on the wedding night; a pair of monogrammed robes;  a privately catered gourmet dinner for two, and many more amenities.
