The 48th International Sailfish TournamentPuerto Vallarta, Mexico November 20 - 22, 2003Puerto Vallarta's International Sailfish Tournament is returning to the state of Jalisco on November 20-22, 2003. The Puerto Vallarta Fishing Club (Club de Pesca de Puerto Vallarta A.C.) is pleased to host its 48th consecutive tournament, as the popularity of this premiere event continues to grow. Participants are expecting this year's tournament to top all tournaments in the past, as the organization has already proven this as a world class event. Held on the Banderas Bay bordering Puerto Vallarta, the International Sailfish Tournament has upheld a powerful presence among sport fishing, and once again the contestants will travel to Puerto Vallarta this November to prove it. Last year the tournament boasted one of the largest sailfish catches by a fisherman only 11 years old. The official program is as follows: Wednesday November 19th: Competitor Registration at 6:00 p.m. at Velas Vallarta Grand Suite Resort Hotel followed by a hospitality dinner at 9:00 p.m. Thursday November 20th: Inaugural Tournament Ceremony at 7:00 a.m. at the Harbor Master Building with free departure times and Fishing Reception at the Flamingos Vallarta Hotel at Marina Vallarta at 6:00 p.m. Friday November 21st: The Marina Pier will host the departure at 1:00 p.m. followed by the fishing reception at Flamingos Vallarta Hotel at Marina Vallarta. Saturday November 22nd: Free Departure Time from Flamingos Vallarta Hotel at Marina Vallarta followed by a fishing reception at Velas Vallarta Grand Suite Resort Hotel and a grand Award Ceremony Dinner.

Participants may enter with a one-time entry fee of $9,500.00 pesos until October 31st, 2003 and $10,000 pesos after November 1st, 2003. This cost includes the Hospitality and Award Ceremony Dinner. If attending single events, invited guests may pay $400.00 pesos per person to attend the award ceremony dinner or the hospitality dinner.
