“Would you like me to seduce you In Dallas?”

Edited by Madelyn Miller

Morgan Fairchild, Nathan Corddry and Winslow Corbett star in the national touring production of The Graduate. This hilarious coming-of-age story about an innocent college grad who is seduced by an older woman has been called “a triumph, rich, full and funny!”

Following sold-out engagements in both London and New York, Broadway’s smash-hit comedy, The Graduate will be the opening show for the Broadway Contemporary Series presented by Dallas Summer Musicals.  The show will be presented at The Majestic Theatre, 1925 Elm Street, for a limited engagement of eight performances, Nov. 2-7, 2004.

Single tickets, priced from $17-$70, are on sale now at The Box Office, 542 Preston Royal Shopping Center, and all Ticketmaster outlets including The Majestic Theatre Box Office, 1925 Elm Street.  Tickets may be purchased by phone by calling 214-631-ARTS, or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Featuring the music of Simon & Garfunkel, this iconic piece of American pop culture is set in 1960s California. Benjamin Braddock’s got excellent grades, proud parents, and since he helped Mrs. Robinson with her zipper, a fine future behind him. Benjamin’s disastrous sexual odyssey is brought to life in the acclaimed stage production.

Morgan Fairchild was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress for the role of Constance Weldon Carlyle in the NBC-TV series “Flamingo Road.”  Best known for starring as Jenna Wade on “Dallas,” Morgan has also appeared on such primetime series as “Barnaby Jones,” “Happy Days,” “The Bob Newhart Show,” “Falcon Crest,” “A Man Called Sloane,” “Mork & Mindy,” “Roseanne,” “Police Woman,” “Switch,” “Kojak,” “Big Shamus,” “Perry Mason,” “Burkes Law,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “Lois & Clark,” “Empty Nest,” “Diagnosis Murder,” “Robin's Hoods,” “Friends,” “Cybill” with Cybill Shepherd and “Just Shoot Me.”

She also starred in the contemporary film noir mystery Writers Block for USA Network and starred in “Star Command” with Chad Everett for the United/Paramount Network as well as Dead Mans Island with William Shatner, Barbara Eden, Roddy McDowell and Christopher Atkins, a Movie of the Week for CBS.

Morgan is no stranger to the stage, having starred in New York in the hit play Geniuses.  Other recent stage appearances have included productions of High Infidelity, Good-bye Charlie and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Taking on the role of Benjamin Braddock is Nathan Corddry.  His stage credits include Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet at the National Shakespeare Company, Wit at Northern Stage, Moving Picture, Red Angel, Philadelphia Here I Come, The Winter’s Tale, Blue Demon at Williamstown Theater Festival, Moonchildren and The Dispute.  Television credits include “Late Night with Conan O’Brien, the NBC Pilot “My 11:30,” “Guiding Light” and “Law & Order: CI.”

Winslow Corbett joins the cast as Mrs. Robinson’s daughter Elaine.  Winslow has appeared in numerous stage productions in New York City, including the world premiere of Romulus Linney's Lark at Ensemble Studio Theatre, Skin of Our Teeth and Kitchen Drama. Other credits include The Learned Ladies, The Mother of Us All, Ah, Wilderness! Grand Magic, Pericles, Twelfth Night and Arcadia.

Filling out the cast, in alphabetical order, are Denise Cormier, Peter Davies, Autumn Dornfield, Tracy Griswold, Josh Heine, William Hill, Corinna May, Dennis Parlato and Brian Russell.

The stage version has taken Broadway, London, Toronto, San Francisco and Los Angeles by storm, to name a few. Theatre critics have called The Graduate “A sensational triumph! The clever and silky smooth production is a major achievement for author/director Terry Johnson.” “Fans of the film will be delighted to see their favorite bits and hear their favorite lines while getting more than just a screen-to-stage transcription to chew on.” “The stage play of The Graduate is a better drama than the movie — clever and awfully satisfying.”

The Graduate is adapted by Terry Johnson, from the novel by Charles Webb and the screenplay by Calder Willingham and Buck Henry.  Production design is by Rob Howell (sets and costumes), Hugh Vanstone (lighting) and Christopher Cronin (sound). The Graduate features songs by Paul Simon, performed by Simon and Garfunkel, and original music composed and arranged by Barrington Pheloung.  The Graduate album is available from Sony Music Entertainment Inc.
