Special Spa Indulgences Including Chocolate Bliss

Opened in April 2002, the Hotel Oceana Santa Barbara equip each of its rooms with décor reminiscent of a chic beach summerhouse. Decorated by renowned interior designer Kathryn Ireland, the guestrooms and common areas feature the ambiance of a small European inn combined with the amenities of an American hotel.

All guest rooms have panoramic views of either the Pacific Ocean or interior courtyard gardens. In-room amenities include Frette linens, Aveda bath products, CD player, data port, hair dryer and complimentary wireless access. Additional property amenities include two heated swimming pools, cabanas, an outdoor Jacuzzi, ocean-view fitness center, and peaceful sitting areas. Here are some of the treatments offered at the spa:

Anti-Stress Back Treatment
This unique combination of a massage and body treatment begins with aromatherapy, dry brushing and a mud-algae application to the back. As the marine products draw toxins and impurities from the back muscles, the arms, legs and feet are massaged. This treatment is completed with a neck, back and shoulder massage. (50 minutes or 75 minutes (full body massage))

Signature Sugar Scrub
This is a complete body exfoliation using a nourishing blend of essential oils, crushed rose petals and refined sugar. Relax completely as this unique product is gently massaged into your skin, leaving you glowing and renewed. After a rinse, a thirty minute neck, back and shoulder massage completes this experience. (75 minutes)

French Rose Therapy
This pampering treatment begins with a soothing body exfoliation, using crushed lavender, rose petals and essential oils. After a rinse, enjoy a gently, therapeutic full body massage with our signature hydrating rose oil. (75 minutes)

Rejuvenating Body Polish
Through a relaxing full body treatment, the skin is gently cleansed, exfoliated and hydrated. Your choice of Rosemary-Mint or Amber-Vanilla polish. (60 minutes)

Oceanika Purifying Mud Wrap
A blend of algae, kelp, mineral silts and essential oils are used to detoxify and purify the tissues. This treatment includes a dry skin brushing, 20 minutes of massage while wrapped, and a re-hydration treatment. (60 minutes)

Oceanika Toning Mud Wrap
A full body wrap with an algae, kelp, mineral silts and essential oil blend hydrates, re-energizes and tones the skin. This treatment includes a dry skin brushing, 20 minutes of massage while wrapped, and a re-hydration treatment. (60 minutes)

Special Spa Boreh Wrap
A luxurious mix of ground rice, essential oils, cloves, cinnamon and ginger is gently worked into the body to buff and polish the skin. In the wrap, relax completely with a scalp treatment, foot reflexology, face and neck massage. Next, enjoy a full body massage with our signature carrot-ginger massage cream. Finish this pampering with a 60 minute European facial. (3 hours)

Dessert Lovers will Drool over the Decadent Chocolate Bliss Spa Treatment

The Spa at Hotel Oceana is tantalizing guests with its new and exclusive Chocolate Bliss spa treatment. This sweet treat combines a rejuvenating body exfoliation treatment utilizing Hotel Oceana’s luxurious Chocolate Sugar Scrub, followed with a soothing, full body, Chocolate Body Crème massage. These 90 minutes of Bliss are guaranteed to make you feel good enough to be, well, someone’s delightful dessert. The Spa at Hotel Oceana Santa Barbara features hand crafted, all natural skin care products from Mieko, a local Santa Barbara company that whips up decadent lotions, sugar scrubs, shea butters, body oils and more.
