WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS WEEKEND TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE?

To each of you that this message reaches ~ I want to share
an invitation from one of the wonderful yoga teachers at the South Side on Lamar
Studio. Barb says it best in her own words:
I
want to invite you to our workshop with Blair Lewis this weekend. I took
Blair’s workshop this past June and found him to be both brilliant and
incredibly down-to-earth. After the workshop, I found myself sharing my gut
reaction with folks and I kept ‘qualifying’ my descriptions of Blair ~ “he’s
quirky, he’s different….”. Finally I asked myself why I was so uncertain about
describing Blair and his amazing work. Then, it hit me! The guy is really who
he says he is. He ‘practices what he preaches’ and it works! He’s HAPPY to his
core. I don’t think we’re really very used to seeing ‘happy’ in real life, or
‘centered and peaceful’ in action. And that’s what makes him a little unusual,
a little out-of-the-ordinary, a little hard to describe! He does the breathing
exercises, he takes time to be still, he meditates, he follows his own nutrition
and wellness recommendations, he serves others, he lives in the now! And, by
the way, he doesn’t preach ~ he shares without judgment! And, he shares real
strategies that help you make healthy decisions about taking care of yourself ~
things that often you know you intend to do and actually want to do but
sometimes can’t quite get into the habit of doing with any consistency.
Blair’s a physician’s assistant by western training (for
over 25 years) and has the same number of years of training in eastern
philosophy, ayurvedic medicine and homeopathic remedies with Swami Rama ~ the
founder of the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania (the most renowned holistic
healing center in the US). Blair’s credentials are strong but his style is what
makes his workshops user-friendly and meaningful. He is all about helping folks
figure out how to reduce stress and to be happy. In fact, he is known as the
‘happiness doctor’ based on the success of his last book “Happiness: The Real
Medicine”.
Have you recently asked yourself any of those seemingly
unanswerable questions: “Is this all there is?”…. “When do I really get there
(and maybe even.…where exactly IS there)?” …..”Why is there so little time to
take care of myself?”…….”Why do my relationships keep breaking down (or up!) or
get so stagnant?”….”Will I ever really be happy?” I suspect you have your own
familiar versions that nag at you periodically. Working with Blair can really
help get you moving in a healthy and happy direction.
I like to think of the weekend as 14 hours of the
healthiest, most straightforward, usable, hands-on therapy you can get for only
$90!! That’s a steal ~ and you are worth that and so much more!

PS. To those who decide to do the entire workshop and who
want to get a great workout in between your Saturday sessions ~ we have a very
cool West Afrikan dance class every Saturday from 12:30 to 2 PM. If you’re
interested, we will comp you the regularly priced $15 class. Just bring an
extra pair of shorts and a t-shirt and jump in ~ literally! You are welcome to
shower after at the studio and will still have time to grab some lunch
downstairs at the coffee shop prior to the 3 PM session.
