BERMUDA CELEBRATES
FIFTH ANNUAL JAZZ FESTIVAL
Diana Krall,
Spyro Gyra and Roberta Flack Headline Grand Event
This year, the Bermuda Jazz Festival offers guests “all that jazz,”
with a line-up of living legends representing a range of dynamic interpretations
and styles inherent to this musical genre. Jazz greats Diana Krall, Spyro Gyra,
Roberta Flack, Boney James and Norman Brown headline the fifth annual event,
held on September 15th and 16th. Smooth classics will
meet fine fusion as spectators enjoy this “sea” of stars performing from a
special stage built in the water at the historic Royal Naval Dockyard.
Presented by the Bermuda Department of Tourism and Alcatel,
a French-based global telecommunications company, a two-day schedule of
performances is as follows:
Diana Krall, Boney, James and Bermudian artists will be
performing on Friday, September 15 from 7:15 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. On Saturday,
September 16, Spyro Gyra, Roberta Flack, Norman Brown and Bermudian artist will
perform from 7:15 p.m. until midnight.
Tickets for the performances are $50 for general admission
and $65 for reserved seating, and will be on sale early summer through the
toll-free festival hotline at 1-800-965-4827 or www.ticketweb.com.
