Exotic Villas
on Frégate Island Exemplify
Ultimate Private Island Experience
In some circles, wealth equals privacy. Today in the new millennium,
there are many more of the "very rich" than in the past century, and
the demand for privacy is growing.
Appealing to press-shy celebrities, corporate titans seeking
solitude, and millionaires harboring Robinson Crusoe fantasies, Frégate is an
island for individuals seeking privacy and tranquility. The 16-villa secluded
resort is located in the Indian Ocean east of Africa. It offers guests eight
sandy beaches, blue-lagoon crystal clear water, and exotic flora and fauna.
Despite the island’s proximity to the International Airport of Mahé, only a few
discriminating travelers find their way to the small and private island.
Reachable only by helicopter or private yacht, the island is
designed for privacy and comfort. Thatched roofed, Balinese/Thai decorated villas
are scattered throughout the eight-beach island. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls
offer unobstructed views of the Indian Ocean and a private pathway from the living
quarters leads to a private outdoor daybed and Jacuzzi surrounded by coconut
palms.
The villa rate of up to $1,400 per night includes all of the
indulgences a private island experience might warrant. Two restaurants feature
gourmet dining. There are numerous watersports, beaches for walking, paths for biking,
and an infinity pool for a more social experience.
