For mature Americans who want to experience gilded palaces
and teak forests at their own leisurely pace, Grand Circle Travel offers its

“Thailand is a country alive with art, music, and dance;

people,” said Mark Frevert, executive vice president of Grand Circle
Corporation. “The pacing of our Jewels of Thailand program allows travelers
plenty of time to explore this beautiful country. With Grand Circle’s exclusive
Discovery Series events and included tours lead by Thai nationals, we give our

authentic Tai Chi session. Two days in Bangkok are at leisure, with optional excursions
available
to the famous floating market or a tour of the Bridge on the River Kwai.
The discovery continues with six days in Chiang Mai,
including a tour of the Old City, home to more than 300 temples; an excursion
to a working elephant camp to learn how these revered animals are used for
forestry and a ride on one of these gentle giants; a Discovery Series lecture
about the role of Buddhism in everyday Thai life; and a visit to the area’s
most holy temple – Wat Prathat Doi Suthep. Optional excursions include a tour of the city’s Craft Street, a tour of
Lampang, and a visit to remote hill tribes. The tour concludes with a farewell
