ARUBA SONESTA LAUNCHES
NEW ISLAND NANNY PROGRAM

Family travel is on the rise and having a nanny to help with the kids has become a growing trend. However, finding and bringing a sitter on vacation can be a stressful and costly affair after salary, airfare, room and food bills are all included.  Aruba Sonesta Resorts has launched an “Island Nanny Program,” to meet the needs of the increasing number of family guests, which provides a nanny for the duration of the family’s stay.

From $120 per day, from 8 a.m. to midnight for two children, * families will save thousands of dollars by eliminating such airfare, salary, room, food and other costs associated with bringing a nanny or sitter from home. The “Island Nanny” enables parents to enjoy their free time without worrying about where or with whom their children are spending their time.

“Vacationing with children can be as stressful as it is joyful,” said Anabela Peterson de Sousa, vice president of sales & marketing. “Here at the resort we have streamlined and made hassle-free the family vacation with the Island Nanny.”

Located on the water in Oranjestad, a Dutch port, Aruba Sonesta Resorts offers plenty to do and see. Guests can enjoy Sonesta Island, Aruba Sonesta’s for-guests-only, 40-acre island boasting white sand beaches, a secluded Lover’s Cove, tennis courts, a fitness center, a tropical bird sanctuary and an outdoor restaurant and bar.  Red Sail Sports, also on Sonesta Island, offers snorkeling, paddle boats, jet skis and other water sports. Between the 300-room resort and the 259-unit suites there are three swimming pools and a beach cove where nightly theme-dinners are served under the stars. L’Escale, Aruba Sonesta’s gourmet restaurant, was voted the #1 restaurant on Aruba in 1999.

Guests can also visit the Crystal Casino, the island’s only 24-hour casino, which is located in the hotel, and the new Stardust Theater showing the Broadway-style “Hot Tickets” starring Jerome, a rare, white Bengal tiger. Aruba Sonesta’s fantastic “Just Us Kids” program for 5 to 12 year olds, runs 7 days a week and is a great escape for parents and kids alike.
