Radisson Cable Beach Resort, Nassau, recently implemented the Radisson 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee, an innovative program created by Radisson Hotels Worldwide.

As part of the Radisson 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee program, every resort employee has undergone "Making It Right" training. This training program focuses on educating employees to take personal responsibility for the vacation experience of every guest on property.

"If a guest is not happy, and any of our employees becomes aware of the situation, `Making It Right' training prescribes that the employee personally rectify the situation or find the appropriate manager who can assist with the problem," said Stephen Sawyer, vice president and general manager for the 700-room resort.

"It's great to have a training program that reinforces our longstanding commitment to customer service and our property-wide belief that each person who stays at the resort has the right to our undivided attention," he added. Brian Meister, vice president of sales and marketing for the resort added, "So far this year, we have registered a 96 percent willingness to return rate from our guests who fill-out the resort's comments cards -- this means we're doing something right."

"The 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee is in-line with our goal of being totally responsive to the needs of our clients -- whether that means a vacationer, a travel agent or a meeting planner," he added. "We are the only hotel in The Bahamas to have a formal mechanism for achieving that goal."

Should a guest remain dissatisfied with all attempts to resolve a problem, managers have further been given the authority to invoke the Radisson 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee. By invoking the guarantee, the guest will be refunded for the service in question.

Noted Sawyer, "We have always encouraged guests to evaluate our performance and to hold us accountable for quality service. This new program offers our staff a training mechanism to achieve 100 percent guest satisfaction each day."
