Announces Vietnamese Art Tour Package
Long
hidden from the international art world by distance, war and politics,
contemporary Vietnamese art is now achieving worldwide recognition for its
vitality and originality. A comprehensive tour of the Vietnamese art world, the
Hotel Sofitel Metropole package will visit Hanoi's Fine Arts Museum, the Temple
of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. It also includes
entry to the famous Vietnamese Traditional Water Puppet show, and a visit to
Dong Ho folk painting village, as well as an opportunity to meet with a local
artist during a visit to a painting studio.
Valid
now through December 31, 2000, this package includes a three-night stay in a
premium room at the five-star Sofitel Metropole. A French colonial-style
property built in 1901, the hotel boasts a rich history and a century-long
tradition of hospitality for ambassadors and writers.
The
package, also, features a welcome dinner at the elegant Spices Garden restaurant, providing an opportunity to sample the
local cuisine. Located within the Metropole, the restaurant features superb
Asian and Vietnamese food, three private dining areas and an attractive terrace
outlook. Another culinary treat, a farewell dinner, features a special French
menu and French wine.

The package includes round-trip airport transfers, three nights at the Sofitel
Mentropole, daily breakfast, two gourmet dinners (mentioned above) and land
transportation via a classic Citroën Traction visiting car or Mercedes van.
Prices start at $700 for single occupancy, $790 for double occupancy. Extra
nights can be added for $120 for singles or $130 for double occupancy,
including daily breakfast.
